Congratulations ECHAlliance members SilverCloud & Mediktor for the 2017 eHealth Competition Awards

Congratulations to 2 of our members, SilverCloud and Mediktor for the 2017 eHealth Competition Awards as the Best Digital Solutions in Europe

The eHealth Competition is an initiative that rewards the best digital health solutions produced by SMEs across Europe. This competition has three categories. Two of them depending on the turnover of the companies: Champions (SMEs with turnover more than 0.5 M€) and Promises (with less turnover). The third one is the special Diabetes track to reward the solution that best faces the management of the disease.

"The three winners have been selected from more than 100 European SMEs that submitted their solutions! Their added value: technology innovation, traction and short-term impact on patients and healthcare professionals," mentioned Jorge González, director of TICBioMed and organizer of the eHealth Competition.

The 2017 eHealth Competition first prizes have been awarded to:

Champion category - SilverCloud (Ireland) enables the delivery of evidenced based content, programs and support within the area of mental health and long term/chronic illness care.

Promise category - Mediktor (Spain) is the most accurate AI based mobile solution for triage, pre-diagnose and decision making support on-line. Help members avoid unnecessary visits to hospitals and support clinical teams make the safest, fastest and most cost-effective decisions.

Special Diabetes track - MedicSen (Spain), a non invasive artificial pancreas: artificial intelligence to personalize the therapy and non invasive drug delivery with a needle free patch.

During the Final, the SMEs had 5 minutes each to explain their solution in front of an international Jury panel of eHealth stakeholders and sponsors. The jury panel was integrated by Alberto Rubio (Government Affairs Manager, Astrazeneca, Spain), Marta Abella (Corporate affairs manager, Astrazeneca, Spain), Bart Collet (Partner at Advance, Healthcare and HealthStartup Europe, Belgium), Xavier Olba (Digital Health strategies & Open Innovation consultant, Spain), Laura Buguñá (Innovation Coordinator Mútua Terrassa, Spain), Sebastian Judez (Managing Director, AXA, Spain/France), Ilkka Tiainen (Apotti Ecosystem Expert, Finland), Gerard Valverde (Investor, Ship2B), Javier Villarreal Redon (Business development, IBM) and Alain Pujol (Board Member & International Relations, Angels Santé).

"I heartily recommend to all startups to participate in the eHealth Competition," says Bart Collet, one of the jury members of this edition, "the quality of the proposals has been outstanding and the level is increasing every year."

The Competition Final took place at Barcelona as colocated event with Health 2.0 and Healthio.
