Valencia Ecosystem host an online Ecosystem Meeting: See video of 'Profiles in VLC-Health'

Profiles in VLC-Health Webinar


On 23rd March 2017, the first Webinar organized by the VLC-Health Ecosystem, member of the International Network of Ecosystems, was issued. A good representation of the main actors of the Valencian Ecosystem presented their profile and main current activities.

Antonio Cano, from the University of Valencia, and coordinator of the Ecosystem, hosted the webinar.

The speakers were:

  • Elena Rocher, from Las Naves, a foundation promoted by Valencia City Council to promote urban innovation putting people at the centre.

  • Jane Moreno, from the University of Valencia, which has several Research Institutes and Groups devoted to health and wellbeing.

  • Óscar Sánchez, from the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF), a private non-for-profit foundation focused in biomedical research, both basic and translational.

  • Antonio Cano, from the University of Valencia, responsible of a Research Group in which several projects related with gender profile, frailty and cognitive decline are being developed. The CARMEN cohort or the FOCUS project are main examples.

  • Vicente Traver, from the Institute for Information and Communication Technologies (ITACA), a research Institute dedicated to the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to the fields of public health, quality of life and social services.

  • Elisa Valía, from the Research Institute on Social Welfare Policy (POLIBIENESTAR), a research institute specialized in innovation in social technology, technical advising and training in the social policy field.

  • Javier Gámez, from OPESVAL and responsible of the Valencia Reference Site. OPESVAL areas of work are knowledge of health, well-being and disease, their prevention, treatment and management.

  • Eduard Torregrosa, from DCN partners, a company that manages a collaborative model based on relations between companies which pursue goals to improve our society.
