New report to reveal Poland’s leading healthcare disruptors

Work on the 2nd edition of “Top Disruptors in Healthcare” Report has been launched. Authors of the Report aim to identify and describe the most important Polish medical start-ups in 2021, giving unique insights into vibrant start-up community.

Report is a joint effort by the Polish Hospital Federation, the largest organization of hospitals in Poland, and the Young Healthcare Managers Association.

The purpose of the Report is to disseminate knowledge about innovative businesses and solutions in medicine, in order to help startups reach future investors, customers, employees and vice-versa. Report will serve as the catalyst for innovation and high value-added products and services’ development. Innovative solutions can help strained healthcare systems in battling COVID-19 pandemic, and facing other challenges.

2021 edition of the Report is supported by main partners: Google for Startups, AstraZeneca, EIT Health and PZU Zdrowie.  Honeywell is a supporting partner. Report obtained patronage of key public entities, including the Ministry of Health, Medical Research Agency and The National Centre for Research and Development.

Report will be released during the “AI in Health” international conference in June 2021.

Radosław Sierpiński, acting President of Polish Medical Research Agency said: “I am convinced, that the 2nd edition of the Report, will help to improve better healthcare, and the access to knowledge about Polish medical start-ups, will increase the quality and access to healthcare services offered to patients, by presenting new technologies and medical procedures.”

Ligia Kornowska, author of the Report and Managing Director at the Polish Hospitals Federation said: “We are content about the fact that 40% of start-ups, that participated in the Ist edition of the Report established beneficial business relationships thanks to the Report. It is a clear sign, that this platform for collaboration in life sciences is efficient.  Report is the most comprehensive, publicly available analysis of Polish medical startups. This year, an English version will be released for the first time to help Polish companies in fostering international partnerships.”

About the first edition of the Report “Top Disruptors in Healthcare 2020”

The first edition of the Report was met with an overwhelmingly positive response and was an astounding success – it contained detailed description of 74 medical start-ups, it obtained support and endorsement of the key public entities and it was widely promoted in the media. Statistical data presented in the Report was quoted in multiple industry portals and media.

The evaluation survey conducted among start-ups indicated that 100% of the respondents assessed the cooperation with the authors of the Report as very good and recommended taking part in the second edition.
