Keynote speakers

Assistant Professor Leena Mikkola , University of Tampere

Networkin co-operation, it is easy to think that a shared shared goal that is considered valuable is enough to support co-operation. However, the success of cooperation also requires that a shared understanding of that goal be built in communication. In the absence of a shared understanding, problems of cooperation may manifest themselves as “bad chemistry” and “awkward partner”. In this speech, I will look at one possible way to identify where (network) community communication problems actually lie by presenting a four-step model for analyzing community communication. Utilization of the model allows for a systematic examination and localization of the communication problem, which in turn allows addressing the real cause – not the symptoms – of the communication problem. I also describe how development can be done by

The power of networks in society is growing, and influencing is taking place in increasingly changing networks. What kind of networks do I belong to? What is the active communication verkostois a? What kind of attitude and knowledge, and what kind of skills and practices are needed? What tools and channels support communication in networks? How can an expert develop as a communicator? How do I know that I have managed to influence? What should you pay attention to when using remote connections? Come share and pick fins for your own communicator development and bold experiments.

Anna-Maija Vesa is a communications designer, sparrer and strategic partner who facilitates change processes and coaches experts. Together, he is passionate about learning and creating something new. The Social Scientist (M.Sc.) and the Certified Progress Coach have in their backpacks expertise in international business communication, university communication, knowledge management, project management and change process consulting. Anna-Maija believes in dialogue and likes to look for essential questions and simple main messages. Live in the moment!

Communications Director Anna-Kaisa Säkkinen , University of Jyväskylä

The core of the strategy published by the University of Jyväskylä in 2019 is a competent and well-being person. The mission of the university is to be an impressive university of education, and the university strives to foster interaction in its activities. From the perspectives of influence, interaction and strategy implementation, communication plays a key role in these. In her speech, Anna-Kaisa Säkkinen discusses the key task of communication, ie how communication supports the organization in implementing the strategy. The goals of communication go hand in hand with the goals of strategy: when there is a well-off and competent person at the heart of the university’s strategy, this is also at the heart of making communication. In his speech, Säkkinen discusses the elements of strategy communication, the role of communication in supporting implementation and how, for example, a strategy narrative can be built.

Anna-Kaisa Säkkinen has been the Director of Communications at the University of Jyväskylä since 2019. He leads an area of responsibility called Communication and Community, which includes marketing, events, communications, alumni work, fundraising, and stakeholder relations. Anna-Kaisa Säkkinen has worked in demanding communications for more than 10 years. Prior to joining the university, he led the global communications team at the chemical company Kemira. Säkkinen is an alumnus of the University of Jyväskylä and graduated in 2005 from the University of Jyväskylä with a master’s degree in political science.
