European Week of Regions and Cities: Co-design Digital Innovation Hubs in new Member States
Do you want to learn how to set up a Digital Innovation Hub in your region? What are the benefits for SMEs and for the digitalisation of the economy in different regions? Join this interactive workshop and learn from the experiences of 34 Digital Innovation Hubs coached by the EU project "Smart Factories in new Member States".
34 potential new Digital Innovation Hubs from 13 EU Member States (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia) are taking part in a training programme of the European project “Smart Factories in new EU Member States”. They will learn how to develop a sustainable Digital Innovation Hub in their region and help companies – especially SMEs – to digitalise their business by offering them access to expertise, development and testing facilities, finance and innovation services.
Based on the experience of this project and the coached hubs, this session during the European Week of Regions and Cities will offer an excellent opportunity for other potential Digital Innovation Hubs, national and regional policy makers, and SMEs to discuss and share ideas on how to approach digital transformation in different regions and how to set up Digital Innovation Hubs to contribute to that goal.
The session will use a highly participatory approach based on design thinking and co-creation methodologies.
