The Scottish Ecosystem brings success and has created a process for innovation. Bringing academic, industry and civic members together to create a community minded membership forming collaborations and innovations that will change the way health & care is delivered within Scotland through the use of new innovative technology & services.
The Ecosystem is hosted by The Digital Health & Care Institute and governed by a strong working group with members representing the key interested groups and sectors.
Our vision is that innovation in digital health and care will help the Scottish population to live longer and healthier lives, while creating new jobs for the economy.
Our networks, reach and capabilities are able bring the right people together and provide them with the means to identify, design, evaluate and invest in new solutions to the country’s prioritised health and care challenges.
With our innovation model and work processes we focus on identifying health and care-led problems where digital innovation can provide the greatest impact. We will help problem owners to visualise and explore creative solutions, translating the problems into more meaningful briefs for industry and academia.
We will then match these briefs with those with the right capabilities, placing emphasis on emphasis on quality, depth and real-world application. With these changes we are now working to achieve a needs-led approach instead a supplier-led technology and solutions approach.
