World Health Organisation Call – Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities in relation to COVID-19
In view of the unprecedented global impact of COVID-19 on the health and wellbeing of older people, the WHO Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities (WHO GNAFCC) is seeking support to help improve the COVID-19 response to older people by:
- identifying where the greatest needs are in your communities for information, guidance and practical examples : https://extranet.who.int/dataform/779739?lang=en
- sharing concrete examples of steps that you have taken to meet the needs of older people for health and wellbeing: https://extranet.who.int/dataform/547654?lang=en
Note that for each of the survey, you can change the language at the top so that it is already possible to answer in French. Spanish will be made available by end of today. Ideally the WHO would like to receive input by 24 April (end of business day).
Based on the information provided, the WHO and affiliated partners to the GNAFCC, among them the European Covenant on Demographic Change, will collate and disseminate information and examples that can be used by communities, cities and countries around the world.
