Dr Vije Rajput MRCGP

Vije Rajput is a General Practitioner with a special interest in quality management and information technology.

He is a GP Research Lead with Keele University, engaging GP practices in research and additionally tasked with encouraging primaryand secondary care collaboration in research.

In recent years he has been an executive for a Practice Based Commissioning Consortium involved in commissioning services for the local population of 150,000 patients and 90 GPs.

As Telehealthcare Lead, he has commenced a mobile diabetes telehealth evaluation and is involved in a COPD telehealth programme collaborating with social care.

As Long Term Conditions Lead, he chairs a diabetes multidisciplinary team network, leading a healthcare service redesign. He has also recently introduced an electronic prescribing decision support programme for clinicians and has been involved in providing a programme of education for GPs since 2004.
