Summit 2010 Summary | Print |

The theme of the highly successful 2010 ECH Leadership Summit was “Engagement – How do you make it happen?

The Europa Hotel, Belfast was the venue for this international gathering of key practitioners, thought leaders and other professionals in the field of Connected Health.   Delegates enjoyed a comprehensive programme, addressing key challenges faced by organisations responsible for providing care and funding remote monitoring solutions. The Summit was about communicating experiences, transferring knowledge and identifying the pathways to bring a Connected Health vision to reality. The keynote addresses, workshops and panel sessions, were very well received and the event offered unparalleled networking opportunities.

The lively two-day Connected Health Exhibition showcased present and future technologies and provided a unique opportunity for participants to interact with a range of vendor organisations.

With delegates and speakers from across Europe, North America and beyond sharing their experiences of successful deployments, technology integration and clinical care, participants returned home with a deeper understanding of how to progress their own Connected Health initiatives. Here are some of their comments:

“I found the conference very good and I’m glad I had an opportunity to attend”

“Thanks so much for an excellent conference which was superbly organised, full of interesting content, and a great opportunity for networking”

“ I look forward to next year’s event!”

“It was a great experience, with lots of interesting insights and trends of telemedicine development”

Overall the European Connected Health Week 2010 was a great success and we were delighted to partner with Continua Health Alliance, PREVE, University of Ulster, Smart Personal Health, Ambient Assisted Living Forum and Queen’s University Belfast.  It was fantastic to see so many ad-hoc meetings taking place throughout the entire week.
