ECHAlliance are delighted to have been chosen to facilitate 2 Northern Ireland industry led collaborative growth networks, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Network and the Care @ Home Innovation Network, both of which are scoping study projects aimed at assessing the gaps, needs, capabilities and opportunities to support preventative and technological solutions to the growing needs in these areas.
The most recent meeting of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Scoping Study Network took place on Wednesday 2 August 2017, with strong representation from industry, the health and social care sector and academia.
Data gathering is now firmly underway to:
> Identify and define unmet needs so that clarification of market opportunities, locally and internationally, can be established;
> Assess the needs of a range of MHW service users;
> Determine the main challenges faced by service providers in delivering MHW support and services;
> Compile a Directory of Skills and Capability in order to map out the network’s range and depth of skills and competence.
Options for case studies have been discussed and the network is optimistic that the case studies to be developed will demonstrate NI’s aptitude to provide innovative solutions and interventions relevant to MHW.
