This is the first ever International Code of Practice for Planning, Commissioning and Providing Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) for digital health, telehealth, telemedicine, telecare and self-care apps, where the person is at the heart of the Code.

The Code provides a common benchmark for services, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. It interlinks those responsible for planning and commissioning of services with individuals and patients through the activities of clinicians and providers.

An outcome-based quality framework, it supports the procurement and provision of services, providing structure to the marketplace, and helps streamline all aspects of commissioning and contracting arrangements.

Working with the Code helps with evaluating organisational readiness and accelerating the adoption of services.

Providers (e.g. of telecare, telehealth) can be accredited against the Code, as part of the widely recognised CECOPS Scheme. To do this, commissioners simply need to include compliance with the Code in tender specifications.

Alongside the Code we have also developed a unique self-evaluation and continuous improvement tool, iCOPS®, for both planning and commissioning TECS, as well as service provision.

Order your copy of the Code in hard-back format for only £24.95 from our website.  All organisations registered with CECOPS receive a FREE copy of the Code.

Contact CECOPS to find out about registration and how to include our work in tender specifications etc.: www.cecops.org.uk or info@cecops.org.uk
