‘Smart Technology for Smarter Living’
26-29th June 2017 - Artimino, Firenze, Italy
This Summer School has been designed for early career researchers who are focusing on the research and development of technology based connected health solutions. The Summer School has a program of activities, both from a theoretical and practical perspective, which will offer training in technology, health, social science and business topics.
Over a period of 4 days, three strands of training will be delivered to empower students with the necessary knowledge to understand and apply the concepts of Smart Technology at three different levels:
• Analysing user’s and service provider’s perspectives;
• Technological challenges and opportunities;
• Innovation and business perspectives.
This is a unique opportunity for early career researchers who are interested in the use of contemporary solutions for Smart Environments. Training will be provided by a multi-disciplinary research and cross-sectoral team comprised of service providers, researchers, social and behavioral scientists, innovation managers and investors.
The Summer School will offer formal teaching, practical exercises and group discussions over a period of 4 days. It will adopt a highly participative approach which will emphasise group work cutting across participant presentations, round table and panel discussions and practical exercises.
Registration deadline 31st March 2017
