Mobile World Capital – A Mobile Identity Solution To Streamline Public And Private Institution’s Delivery Of Digital Services

With the rise of the Internet, the relative ease with which the individuals can create digital identities can entail negligence in the management of passwords, which can lead to identity theft. Moreover, As the digital economy expands, both individuals and business are looking for ways to interact easily online without compromising security and privacy.

 

Mobile Connect system, backed by GSMA, proposes the adoption of a standard authentication service for citizens to access all types of digital services. Simply by matching the user to their mobile phone, Mobile Connect allows them to log-in to websites and applications, quickly, in a simple and safe way. GSMA and MWCB Foundation are working with leading mobile network operators and also working in-country with a broader set of ecosystem players to promote Mobile Connect deployment.

 

Drawing on real case uses from different scenarios, this session presents Mobile Connect solution, highlights and discusses its main benefits, the lessons learnt, and the key challenges for its deployment.
